Privacy Policy

AutoimmuneFinder (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates autoimmunefinder.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using AutoimmuneFinder, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Quiz Responses

When you complete our health assessment quiz, your answers are collected to generate your personalized protocol. Responses include condition information, symptom descriptions, lifestyle inputs, and preferences. These are stored temporarily in Vercel KV (a server-side key-value store) linked to a randomly generated session ID, not to your name or email. Quiz answers are retained for 90 days after your session is created, then automatically deleted.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store, see, or have access to your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. Stripe provides us only with a confirmation of successful payment and a Stripe session ID. Your billing information is governed by Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized, aggregate analytics data through Vercel Analytics to understand how visitors use the site and to improve the service. This data does not identify individual users and includes information such as page views, device type, and general geographic region (country level).

Contact Communications

If you contact us by email, we retain your email address and message content solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Protocol generation: Quiz responses are used to compute a personalized protocol via our rules engine. This processing occurs server-side at the time of your request.
  • Payment verification: Your session ID is stored alongside a payment confirmation flag to grant access to your full protocol after purchase.
  • Service improvement: Anonymized usage analytics help us identify usability issues and improve the product.
  • Support: If you contact us, we use your email to respond to your inquiry.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Retention

AutoimmuneFinder does not require account creation. There is no persistent user database. Your data is stored as follows:

  • Quiz session data (answers + payment status): stored in Vercel KV with a 90-day TTL, then automatically purged.
  • Payment records: retained by Stripe per their legal obligations.
  • Analytics: aggregated and anonymized; no individual user records are stored.

Because no user accounts exist, there is nothing to “delete” once your session data expires. If you want your session data removed before the 90-day period, contact us and we will delete it manually.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate AutoimmuneFinder:

Each service operates under its own privacy policy.

5. Cookies

AutoimmuneFinder uses minimal cookies. Your quiz answers are saved to localStorage in your browser during the quiz so your progress is not lost if you navigate away. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers until you complete the quiz and proceed to checkout.

Vercel Analytics may set anonymous session cookies for analytics purposes. You can disable cookies via your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.

6. Children’s Privacy

AutoimmuneFinder is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted information through our site, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your session data before its automatic expiry
  • Opt out of analytics tracking (via browser settings or a do-not-track header)

To exercise any of these rights, email us at contact@autoimmunefinder.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of AutoimmuneFinder after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
